第六届美达菲“玉兰杯”教学研讨会于11月22日如期举行,持续六届的“玉兰杯”教学研讨活动,旨在提升全体教师的新课程理念意识,研究适合学生发展的教学策略,从而推进美达菲学校高质量、高品质、国际化发展。本届“玉兰杯”以“夯实专长,高效赋能”为主题,通过教师基本功展示、教师论坛、学科组模拟集备和课堂教学案例实战分析等四个环节,促进了跨学科、跨年级教师之间的交流与合作,推动学校教育教学质量的不断提高,参与教师覆盖学校全学段、全学科和全体中、外教老师。

The 6th MacDuffie‘Magnolia Cup’Teaching Seminar was held on 22nd November as scheduled.   The ‘Magnolia Cup’ Teaching Event has been held for six consecutive years with the aim of enhancing the awareness of new teaching concepts among all teachers and exploring teaching strategies   that are suitable for the students, so as to promote the high quality education and the development of internationalism in MacDuffie School. This year's ‘Magnolia Cup’, with the theme of ‘Strengthening Expertise and Empowering Effective Teaching’, promotes the exchange and cooperation among teachers of different disciplines and grades through four sections - Teachers’ Basic Skills Display, Teachers’ Forum, Faculty Meeting Demonstration, and Analysis of filmed lessons- and also promotes the continuous improvement of the education quality at the school.

一幅幅规范的字迹,一份份精细的板书,展现出美达菲教师扎实的教学基本功能力。粉笔字作为教师的基本功之一,一笔一画都体现着教师对教学的苦心钻研,而教案的制作更是教师专业精神的体现。

The beautiful handwriting and boardwork designs show teachers’ solid basic skills for teaching at MacDuffie School. Chalk writing, as one of the basic skills of teachers, reflects the great efforts teachers have made. And the production of lesson plans is a reflection of the professionalism of teachers.

教学质量是学校生存发展的生命线,课堂教学是提高教学质量的主渠道。在教师论坛上,来自幼儿园、小学、初中、普高、国高的六位教师,围绕“论教学高效性策略共享”主题,进行了课堂教学经验分享。高中历史学科杨金力老师分享了三种实用的课堂反馈方法:变口答为笔答,变“显眼包”为“举牌牌”,变老师讲为学生讲。简单易行的方法,有效地提高学生在课堂教学的参与度,在促进学生独立思考等方面具有显著效果。

Teaching quality is the foundation for the development of a school, and classroom teaching is the main part for improving education quality. In the Teachers' Forum, six teachers from kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, senior high school and international school shared their teaching experiences with the theme of “Sharing Strategies for Effective Teaching”. Yang Jinli, a senior high school history teacher, shared three practical methods of classroom feedback: changing oral answers to written answers, changing ‘conspicuous packets’ to ‘holding up cards’, and changing teacher talk to student talk. It is a simple and easy way to effectively increase students’ participation in the class and has a remarkable effect in promoting students’ independent thinking.


教学督导聂光杰老师和教学督导、中学教科研室主任弭金玲老师对论坛进行了点评,弭金玲主任谈到,好的教学在于学生学习的发生,尊重学生的主体地位是考量每位教师能否堪为人师的条件,欣喜的是老师们都身体力行地践行着。

Ms. Nie Guangjie,the Academic Supervisor, and Ms. Mi Jinling,the Academic Supervisor and Director of the Secondary School Textbook Research Office, commented   on the forum. Director Mi Jinling mentioned that good teaching lies in the occurrence of students’ learning and the ability to offer a student-centered class defines a good teacher. It is gratifying to see that the teachers are practising this.

集备是上好每一节课的基础,课堂上一分钟的讲授,需要课前教师们的共同研讨,以达到最适合学生的课堂教学策略。来自高一年级英语组的三位老师为大家带来了一场完整的集备模拟展示。

Co-preparation is an effective method to produce a good lesson, and a single minute during the lesson is worthy of a discussion outside the classroom among teachers in order to find out the teaching strategies that are most suitable for the students. Three teachers from Grade 10 English faculty presented a complete co-preparation demonstration.

教学督导王禄荣老师对集备进行了点评:高一年级英语组的本次集备展示自然流畅,既关注了英语学科的核心素养,又整合了课程资源,设计的课堂活动能够始终以学生为主体,充分关注了学生的个体学习和小组学习。同时,王禄荣老师还强调了二次集备的重要性。

Academic Supervisor Ms. Wang Lurong provided feedback on the co-preparation demo. The G10 English faculty showcased the real preparation process smoothly, which not only focused on the core literacy in English Language subject, but also integrated the curriculum resources. The classroom activities are student-centered,which included both individual learning and group learning. At the same time, Ms. Wang Lurong also emphasised the importance of a second co-work on reflection.

最后,以视频形式展示了小学、中学和国高的三位教师的视频课堂。教学督导孙鸿燕老师、外方课程主管Mr. Keating、初中数学学科组长张茗老师分别进行了现场点评。Mr. Keating强调了国际体育教师的专业性,他特别提到使用ICQs和CCQs的教学策略,来确保学生理解课程内容,了解学生个体并建立良好师生关系对提高学习效果的重要性。

Finally, teachers observed three filmed lessons taught by three teachers from Primary School, High School and International School. Academic Supervisor Ms. Sun Hongyan, Head of American Curriculum Mr. Keating and Junior High School Mathematics Faculty Head Ms. Zhang Ming provided feedback. Mr. Keating emphasised the professionalism of the international PE teachers, and in particular, he mentioned the importance of using ICQs and CCQs to ensure that students understand the content of the course, understand students as individuals and build good teacher-student relationships to improve learning outcomes.

本届玉兰杯教学研讨会的成功举办,为全校教师专业成长提供了相互学习、相互切磋的机会,对学生学习能力和教学质量的提升发挥了作用。

The success of this year's Magnolia Cup Teaching Seminar provided an opportunity for the professional growth of all teachers in the school by learning from each other and communicating with each other, and played a role in the improvement of students' learning ability and teaching quality.
